The Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale v1.1 is an 18-item screening tool designed to evaluate Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) symptoms in adults aged 18 and older. More about the MIGDAS-2

Why Autism Assessments with the MIGDAS-2 are trustworthy

The MIGDAS-2 (Monteiro Interview Guidelines for Diagnosing the Autism Spectrum, Second Edition) is a qualitative, conversational interview process that aids clinicians in evaluating autism by focusing on an individual's unique sensory experiences, communication style, and personal interests. This method is particularly beneficial in the context of autism ADHD coaching, facilitating a more comprehensive understanding of neurodiversity during assessment.

Core Areas Evaluated

Sensory use and interests: Explores how a person reacts to sounds, textures, sights, and smells, along with their deep-dive topics or passions.

Language and communication: Observes how the individual shares information, manages conversation flow, and utilizes speech or non-verbal signals.

Social relationships and emotional responses: Evaluates how they connect with others and express emotions in a natural, low-stress environment.

Key Benefits in Diagnosis

Uncovers subtle presentations: This process helps identify autism in high-masking individuals, girls, adults, and individuals with above-average intelligence who might otherwise slip through rigid or traditional checklists.

Neurodiversity-affirming approach: Rather than counting behavioral deficits, it utilizes descriptive, strengths-based language that honors a person's lived experience.

Flexible and adaptable: It comprises tailored protocols for toddlers, older children, teens, and adults, making it suitable for various levels of verbal ability. It also includes caregiver and teacher questionnaires, enhancing the effectiveness of the neurodiversity assessment.

Builds comfort and rapport: Through the use of conversational techniques and sensory objects, this approach reduces anxiety, allowing individuals to communicate more authentically than they might in rigid, task-driven evaluations such as the ADOS-2. This makes it a valuable option for those seeking an online assessment for adults.
