Undiagnosed autism and ADHD have affected my family for generations, which gives me a deep understanding of the challenges in neurodiverse relationships. Traditional counseling often falls short of providing the necessary tools, leading me to develop a proprietary Roadmap to Hope & Healing and my unique STOP/START method of change (see the video). My practical ASD ADHD coaching methods focus on repairing connections and helping individuals thrive by learning better relationship strategies.

I have participated in three groups with Barbara and also had one-on-one counsel with her. She has been extremely valuable to me as I navigate the complexities of a neurodiverse marriage. With her expertise in ASD ADHD coaching, I've gained crucial relationship strategies that are hard to find with truly Spirit-filled counselors for Christian wives in neurodiverse relationships. I praise God for Barbara!
The Cassandra Recovery group was exactly what I expected and so much more! The blend of ASD ADHD coaching materials and shared resources, along with the fellowship, proved to be incredibly valuable for me. Barbara is wonderful—she is supportive and knowledgeable! I wish the sessions could have been longer, as I would have appreciated more time on each topic, especially the relationship strategies for neurodiverse relationships. Regardless, I highly recommend this type of group to anyone looking to grow and heal.
I recently had an honest conversation with one of my oldest friends about my divorce and my relationship with my ex, which was reminiscent of the challenges often faced in neurodiverse relationships. Recounting some of the shaming and blaming behavior he exhibited was exhausting and painful, but it also underscored my need to leave. The work Barbara and I did, particularly in the realm of ASD ADHD coaching, helped me address the false guilt and blame that often leads to shame. This support empowered me to set healthy boundaries and stop taking responsibility for my ex’s choices, setting me on a path towards freedom and effective relationship strategies. Thank you!!
I believe this Cassandra Recovery group is beneficial to people who've been married to someone with ASD or ADHD for a long time, as well as those who have recently entered into neurodiverse relationships. As someone new to understanding how autism affects my marriage, I found myself at a low point when I joined the group. By the end, I felt empowered with relationship strategies and tools to improve myself and, in turn, my marriage. I gained a better understanding of which challenges my husband faced were related to ASD and which were not. I also started to set healthy boundaries and manage my expectations for our partnership. As a result, I feel more secure in my identity within my marriage.
I think we have had 8-9 counselors in our time, and I FINALLY feel like (with you, Barbara) we have landed in a place that can really help us grow in our neurodiverse relationships. I just wanted to say how encouraged I was after our 2nd session. In fact, after our first one too. I have only done 2 other courses through Neurodiverse Christian couples, but your Cassandra Recovery course and group is so different in so many ways. I absolutely love that there is this community, not just for the duration of the course, but ongoing. The ASD ADHD coaching and relationship strategies we discussed have been invaluable.
Thank you, Barbara, for creating this online community space for us to grow together, especially for those of us navigating ASD and ADHD coaching. Your insights on neurodiverse relationships and relationship strategies from the wisdom you've gained in that house of mourning are invaluable. You are truly a real gift.
